Ignite Program

The Ignite Program was launched in partnership with Love and Hands on the 30th April 2022 in Kicukiro district, Gahanga Sector, in Groupe Scholaire de Gahanga.

Ignite project creates opportunities for young women to not only acquire skills they need to be able to lift up themselves from poverty but to also be bold enough to start exploring ways to benefit from existing micro finance institutions. The project provides young women with a six-month intensive training on entrepreneurship, leadership and small business in order for them to feel equipped and ready to venture in income generating activities that can not only allow them to take care of themselves but to also meet the needs of their children thus their families at large. The project also makes an effort to create the linkages and spaces where these young women can learn and acquire information about how microfinance institutions work and which products that are tailored to benefit them.
