Solange Impanoyimana, a former Global Health Corps fellow and founder of Generation Rise in 2016 , was born in the western part of Rwanda and moved to Kigali in 2010 to work with Voices of Rwanda. Now, Solange has more than 10 years of experience managing community development projects for NGO,s and government contractors and supporting education initiatives for Rwandan youth in rural communities.  Equipped with her extensive background in leadership training and women’s empowerment work in East Africa, Solange feels ready and excited to co-found Generation Rise and continue empowering vulnerable girls. Solange currently spends most of her time advocating for a stronger literacy curriculum for girls and building strategic partnerships to promote the success of Generation Rise.

Solange is a proud Generation Rwanda Scholar, a competitive program awarding full university scholarships and leadership training to orphans and other socially vulnerable youth with outstanding secondary school performance. Conscious Company Magazine officially named her one of 17 Rising Entrepreneurs of 2015 after recognizing her work with Resonate. To learn more about Solange
